The half-life of paracetamol (acetaminophen) is usually quoted as
about 2 h but most estimates appear to be based on samples taken up
to about 12 h post-dose which adequately covers the duration of the
analgesic effect.
Can anyone cite or provide estimates of the half-life based on
samples taken beyond 12 h post-dose?
Many thanks in advance,
Peter Buchan

A colleague (clinical toxicologist) has this to say in response:
I doubt there are any data on paracetamol kinetics after 12 hours with
therapeutic doses because the concentrations would be too low for most
measurement systems.
