Dear colleges,
I work in drug discovery and development of lipophilic and amphiphilic
compounds.
Many water insoluble drugs are used in medicine e.g. carbamazepine.
Part of them have serious problems with absorption, bioavailability, iv
formulation, etc.
In what cases increasing hydrophilicity of drug is crucial for its
pharmacokinetics?
What regular drugs need to improve water solubility?
Thanks
