Hi Nelida,
To my knowledge, enalapril in its marketed formulations represents a
high solubility/low permeability product (BCS class 3). One readily
available reference can be found under the following link:
http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu_IPQBFIz2YARRNXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEzM2F1cDhlBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMgRjb2xvA2FjMgR2dGlkA1BSMDI2Xzcy/SIG=13sgpm5t8/EXP=1209176463/**http%3a//www.who.int/medicines/services/expertcommittees/pharmprep/QAS04_109Rev1_Waive_invivo_bioequiv.pdf
Hope this helps.

They have it classified as Class 1.

Thanks for pointing out this website, Vishnu.
I guess the classification can vary according to standards that we
compare to. In the online document I sent in response to this e-mail
request, enalapril was evaluated to be high solubility and low
permeability. It may have been the different tests used o assess
permeability. However, this results in the compound being classified
totally differently (class III vs. class I).
If anyone can provide insight into this, I am sure it will be highly
appreciated.
Regards,
Murad
