Does anyone know the value of hepatic blood flow in the Gottingen
minipigs or provide me any good reference ?
Many thanks for your answers,
Best regards,

The Gottingen minipig from Ellegaard is described at this web site.
Check the section on background information.

Hi Benjamin
According to the website of the Ellegaard company (the best
information source I found on this species to date concerning the
physiological parameters used in a PBK model):
- total hepatic blood flow = 26% of cardiac blood flow (which is 717
+/- 224 mL/min
- if you consider only the portal part = 23% of the cardiac blood flow
The website gives this reference:
Beglinger, R. and M. Becker, Herz und Kreislauf, In: P. Glodek and B.
Oldigs (eds.), Das Gottinger Miniaturschwein, Paul Parey, Berlin,
1982, 75-85.
This data has been obtained with 3kg minipigs (young animals).
I didn't found any data on tissue blood flows for older animals (the
weight of minipigs we use in-house is 20-25 kg in general, i.e. adult
minipigs).
Hope this helps
Cedric
