Hai,
I want to develop a pk-pd model for development of tolerance to
morphine induced analgesia. can I know what are different ways for
induction of tolerance.
thanking you,

Hi Krishna,
Here is a useful reference:
Gardmark M, Brynne L, Hammarlund-Udenaes M, Karlsson M.O.
Interchangeability and Predictive Performance of Empirical Tolerance
Models. Clinical Pharmacokinetics, Volume 36, Number 2, February
1999 , pp. 145-167(23)
The authors describe and compare different tolerance models, and among
other examples they discuss tolerance models used for morphine.
Hope this is helpful.

Dear all,
I want to work on pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modeling of
tolerance developmnet to morphine analgesia. As the repeated /
continuous administration of morphine is producing tolerance, is there
any possibility of developing tolerance with oral sustained release
preparations?
thank you

The tolerance is a feature of morphine. The development may be
prolonged
but it will be there.
