Dear All
greetings for a day
can any one provide reference for in-vitro increase in solubility of
one drug in presence of other drug. OR is there possibility of in-
vitro increase in the solubility of more hydrophobic drug in presence
of hydrophillic drug.
Thanking you in advanced
With Regards

Hi NIL,
This principle is called "hydrotropic solubilization" where the
solubility of a drug (hydrophobic) can be increased in the presence of
high molar concentrations of other drugs.
You can find lot of references in pubmed for hydrotropic
solubilization and hydrophobic drugs like paclitaxel, indomethacin,
nimesulide were benefitted by this solubilization method.
