Dear all,
We are now using transient transporter-transfected HEK293 cells to do tansporter substrate identification. However, we found that some compounds have very strong non-specific binding(e.g ~40% of compound bind to the 24-well plate itself). It resulted in very high background, overshadowed the potential differences between the transfection group and the control group.
I would be very glad if someone have references to recommend or have previous experience in dealing with this situation.Thanks\0xFF01

Hi,
Some compounds do bind to the tubes or plates due to their hydrophobicity. One easy way is to switch to a plate made of different material, there is a good chace to minimize the non-specific binding.
