Could you give me a list of drugs that metabolized in the intestine.
thanks

Dear Alhazmi,
Generally, the list could involve drugs that are CYP and/or UGT substrates.
The first pass effect that are mediated by these two major phase I and II
metabolizing enzymes are know to greatly influence the bioavailabity of many
drugs and perhaps their ultimate pharmacodynamic effects. For example, CYP3A
and UGT1A1 are know to be expressed in intestinal tissues and significantly
contribute to the oxidative and the conjugative reactions of xenobiotics.
Furthermore, the picture is complicated by the role of P-gp and other
transporters that are involved in the processes. The following citations
discusses some aspects of these issues:

the absorption of drugs from the small intestine. European Journal of
Pharmaceutical Sciences. 12(1):3-12, 2000 Nov.

expression, and disease. Annual Review of Pharmacology & Toxicology.
