Dear All,
Does anybody have any reference for the Anesthetised Rodent model of
Asthma by whole body plethysmography and measurement of dynamic
compliance and lung resistance.
Any help in this regard is appreciated in advance.
Kind regards,

Call Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, OH for answers. They
routinely
use anesthetized rodents to establish compliance and resistance in lungs
through whole body pleythsmography. Although they do not specifically
have
an asthma model, (I don't know of one that exists except in guinea pigs
---
but that is only as an early stage of asthma model and is difficult to
set
up)they can accomplish methacholine (or any other chemically
induced)induced
broncho-constrictions and study the effectiveness of your drug to
reverse
the effect.
