Dear All,
Regarding the use of solvents like DMSO for intravenous use, no
doubt that they will enhance the solubility of poorly soluble
drugs. However, how can one assess the chances of precipitation of
the drug in central compartmet? In most cases, if that happens,
will be an overestimation of bioavailability. This can lead to
wrong interpretations.
Kindly throw some light in to this matter.

just a quick message to reinforce this answer regarding the use of DMSO
in IV formulations.
I think that there are interesting alternatives to explore.
I would definitely not recommend DMSO as a relevant vehicle for PK
studies. Too much uncertainty in the results due to possible
interferences of this DMSO.
