Dear All,
Does anyone have any experience or know of any references on the
stability/viability of oxidases and/or dehydrogenases present in
cytosol or liver S9 stored at -80 C for periods of up to 3 years?
Thank you.

Dear Steve,
You may want to check this reference "Effects of freezing, thawing, and
storing human liver microsomes on cytochrome P450 activity": Arch
Biochem Biophys 1996 Jul 15;331(2):145-69.
This paper discusses the stability for six months. We at XenoTech tell
the customers that the S9 fraction should be stable over atleast 3-4
years when kept at -80, however we dont have proof for it and we havent
heard any complaints from our customers. We typically say our customers
to be little carefull with cytosolic fraction.
Hope this helps.
