Hi all,
I am working on the possible transport of atovaquone
(Hydroxynaphthoquinone, antiparasitic) by various transporters like
Pgp, MRP1/2 in in vitro system. However I have been having solubility
problems in the aqueous/salt soution used in the procedure. It is
almost insoluble in water. We can dissolve it in alcohol but as soon as
we add it in the 12 well plates with cells and the media (salt soln)
the drug precipitates out. Has anyone had a similar experience with
this or any other lipophilic drug?
Anyone...any suggestion?
Best wishes
