protein binding? Will it change the binding percentage?

Dear Jian,
a solvent can have an effect on the secondary structure of the protein
and
thereby on the results from the proteinbinding assay: see the following
paper by Lin et al.:
Effect of ethanol or/and captopril on the secondary structure of human
serum albumin before and after protein binding.
Eur J Pharm Biopharm. 2004 May; 57(3):457-64.
best regards,
Philip

up to 2% solvent, protein will be not significantly damage, and in fact
protein binding will not be change.
