Sir,Back to the Top
Please guide me about the dissolution study of
glipizide. I have tried the dissolution as per
recommended in the USP-26. As per that method the %
dissolved drug should not be less than 80% of the
label claim in 45 min, when compared with the standard
drug to be dissolved in the same dissolution media
(i.e. simulated intestinal fluid, USP).
But the problem is that the standard glipizide is not
completely soluble in the simulated intestinal fluid,
USP. Even i have tried by adding 1% SLS but SLS is
insoluble in simulated intestinal fluid. Now I am
confused about what to do. Please guide me.
Alternatively I would like to know whether simple
water with SLS can be used for dissolution or not
because SLS is soluble in simple water.
Thanking you,
