Dear All:Back to the Top
I appreciate if someone can guide me towards a good pediatric study
design for pharmacokinetics studyusing sparse sampling (one or two
blood draws per subject). The agent I am interested to study is a
radioactive compound and the subjects are housed for 24 hrs. I am
facing a dilemma of exploring limited samples per subject and yet to
characterize complete PK in pediatric patients.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi Prasad,Back to the Top
Limited sampling within a population PK analysis can definitely be
done, but do you have any 'a priori' information on this radioactive
compounds PK profile? Is it multicompartmental, etc? Identification
of the optimal sampling design for the study can be assisted greatly
with this a priori information.
