Any luck on this issue?
Actually, we are conducting some research on glimepiride and we have
difficulties in dissolution.
We know that there is a polymorph of glimepiride, Form II. Did you have
any problems with polymorphism?
Thanks.

Dear IIkay,
You need to indicate what particle size of the drug you are using. As
Glimepiride is highly insoluble you need to use micronized material and
for dissolution try your luck with basic buffers, I am sure that would
help you.
Good luck!!

Dear Paruthi,
Regarding the glimepiride dissolution issue:
Our material is also micronized. FYI, The problem with the dissolution
is: Initial dissolution rate decreases with time.
Thanks,
