Dear All,
Does anybody know of any user friendly software to perform IVIVC
apart from PDxIVIVC from Globomax? PDxIVIVC is a good software but we
are looking for an alternative just in case.
Thanks in advance for any information you can give me.

Dear Nathalie,
Our widely used GastroPlus(tm) software offers the most sophisticated
IVIVC
capability that we know of. You can easily fit in vivo release vs
time to
observed data in human and in animals using gastric retention, integral
tablet, or dispersed release systems. Thus, your IVIVC can be a direct
correlation between in vitro dissolution and in vivo release, instead of
older methods that correlate F(t) vs in vitro release (which you can
also
do, of course, but it is much more difficult to interpret).
Your drug can have saturable gut metabolism and transport. You can use a
standard 1-, 2-, or 3- compartment PK model, which can also be fitted
using
the program. Or you can use a full physiologically based
pharmacokinetics
model with any combination of perfusion-limited and permeability-limited
tissues. You can also simulate populations using either type of PK
model to
conduct virtual BE studies.
