Hi PharmPK members
We are working on Piperaquine molecule, and are analyzing the same in
rat plasma samples on LC-MS/MS and are facing the problem of carryover.
Can any one suggest me, how should i analyse the subject plasma samples
after oral drug delivery of piperaquine for pk analysis.
what precautions should be taken by me to avoid the problem of
carryover.
Thanks in advance

Hello Priyadeep,
You can use 100% methanol or acetonitrile as a rinsing
solvent.Increase the autosampler syringe wash volume and rinse volume.
Also increase the run time particularly after elution of both main peak
and internal standard peak, this will help to remove any deposit in the
source.
Hope this will help you to get rid of carryover.
