Hi all,
We would like to design a pharmacokinetics study to evaluate the
potential
pharmacokinetics interactions occurring between the antitumor drug
vincristine and other drugs that frequently are coadministrated in the
treatment of NH-Lymphoma. In this process we face with the definition
of
an optimal and practical time sampling for vincristine. For vincristine
has
been reported a initial, middle and terminal half-lives of 5 minute, 2.3
hours, and 85 hours (range 149-155h) respectively.
Has anyone experience with a this drugs or other alkaloid analogs that
may
give us good indications for an optimal sampling time suitable for
PK
study?
Many thank in advance

I would suggest with a half lives of 5 minutes, 2.3hrs and 85 hours
that you sample at 0, 5, 30 minutes, 1, 2, 3,4 hours and follow up
with 8, 12, 24, 48, 72,and 96 hours. i am sure with this you would
have a good idea of when your sampling should be after having a look
at you plasma time curve. I want to assume you are administering
intravenously, so you can keep an intravenous cannular in situ.
