could anyone please tell me how do we arrive at 900ml for dissolution
media and from which (location) the best sampling can be obtained.

Dear
The best way to take sample from the dissolution medium is middle
part of the medium.

Dear sydeny
Try to take sample just above the paddle (middle part of the medium).
Ensure that all the samples taken from the same way.

The position to sample from the dissolution flask is as follows:
Midway between the top edge of the paddle and the liquid level,
And no less than 1 cm from the inner edge of the flask.
