hello guys
i have a problem with hplc method of estimating ibuprofen. i have
used the methods mentioned in british pharmacopoeia and found that
the curves taken in plasma invitro is not repetitive. the column i am
using is c18 reverse phase column. can anyone suggest an established
method to get the standard curve for ibuprofen via hplc, hope to get
an answer soon.

Dear Rajesh,
Although I am not sure what you exactly meant by repetitive results.
If you meant that resuts were not reporducible, then in what aspect?
(retention time, fresh standard signals, internal standard
signals....). Anyway, here is a good paper that employs ibuprofen as
the internal standard and ketoprofen is the analyte. You can simple
reverse the roles!
I hope this helps.

You mean you have been using methanol:water as the mobile phase????.
Look at litreature and change the mobile phases . Do not forget to
optimize the seperation. You do have several options
As for the cailbration curve your Professor of Pharmaceutical
asnalysis should have taught you how to
do it.
