Dear Colleagues,
The NLME Consortium (NLMEc) would like to announce the release of our
High- and Mid-Level User Requirements (URS) for community review and
comment.
The URS are available in PowerPoint format from http://www.nlmec.org
and we encourage interested parties from industry and academia to
download the URS package and provide review, comment and questions
(preferably in a word document referencing pages) to
nlmec.management.-a-.intrasphere.com as well as discussing the
possibilities amongst yourselves, and within groups such as this one.
NLMEc is currently comprised of six leading global pharmaceutical
companies who share a common belief that current modelling and
simulation software do not optimally address the needs of the
pharmaceutical industry. To resolve this limitation, the NLMEc will
enable and facilitate the development of a technical implementation,
according to modern computing standards, that contends with the
issues specifically encountered within a pharmaceutical industry
context.
Going forward, the Consortium is working hard to expand on these User
Requirements and is actively engaged in creating specific, detailed
requirements that will encourage accurate response from application
vendors and software development organisations. We aim to complete
these requirements in early 2007 and will update you on our progress
soon.
The subject of new participants will be addressed in 2007, but
interested parties are encouraged to make themselves known to us
through the 'Contact Us' form on the website.
