Dear Tal,
To my knowledge you can use polyoxyethylated castor oil in ethanol in
such preparatons.
PTX in 6% ethanol/6% polyoxyl 35 castor oil in saline [the powder was
first solubilized in 100% ethanol, followed by mixing with polyoxyl
35 castor oil to yield a 25 mg/ml stock (50% ethanol:50% polyoxyl 35
castor oil) that was diluted in saline immediately before
administration].
Some tend to use microemulsions using safflower or olive oil. Some of
thse emulsion droplets are further coated with fibrin or fibrinogen
for better targeting.
