Dear All,
i am a biologist currently testing some novel compounds for
experimental therapy in xenografted nude mice. the test compounds are
lipophillic, and one of the option i have is using cremophorEL as
excipient.
but there is quite a lot of papers describing non-linear
pharmacokinetics of cremophorEL in mice and humans, with regard to
taxol.
i would be treating the mice with 50mg/kg bwt for 5 consecutive days,
will this be a cause to be concerned during the experiments?
isn't it advantageous to use cremophorEL as it has a higher Cmax and
low CL values; good for therapeutic effect? OR is there something i
overlooked?
thank you for the patience.
