dear sirs,
i have this question, if anybody can advise me and help me in this
matter
u.s.p. requires dissolution for folic acid tablets. but the
solubility of folic acid is 1.6 m.c.g per ml at 25 degrees centigrade,
The medium for dissolution is 500 ml. so the total solubility will be
800 mcg. it will be more at 37degrees say it is double i.e. 1.6 mgs per
500 ml.
if the tablet is 5 mg folic acid how will it comply with u.s.p.
dissolution can please help in the matter. if the tablet is 5 mg folic
acid is it necessary to comply with dissolution
similarly, the drug is Pthalyl sulphathiazole tablets which is
sparingly soluble, can the tablet be tested for dissolution in 0.1 m

First of all develop a comprehensive analytical method to analyze your
drug.
You do have several options from spectrophotometric analysis to HPLC
etc..
Carry out dissolution tests and apply your method for analysis.
If you have problems with simple analytical calculations read widely.
