Hi,
I have been looking at the transport characteristics of a P-gp
substrate drug. However, most of the in vivo studies call for the use
of a particular strain of mouse, 'FVB (wild type)'. Apart from the
fact that, these mice are P-gp intact and can mimic human conditions
closely. I do not find much info about them. As in why these mice are
used particulary for in vivo disposition studies. Any info/paper
regarding this strain would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!1

Kavita

Hi Kavitha,
Please refer to this paper in PNAS (is from 1991 and available free
from Pubmed Central). This should provide you with some background
information.
