Dear members,
I am not very clear about the definition of ECe50 in the PK/PD link
model in WinNonlin. In WinNonlin online help, it says "ECe50 is the
concentration required to produce one-half of the maximal drug
effect". Is it the drug concentration at the effective site
(compartment)? In WinNonlin help, the definition of EC50 and ECe50 is
the same, which makes me confused. Could anyone help me on this?
Thanks for your help.

Yulin,
The EC50 is defined with reference to whatever concentration you are
using to predict the effect. If its a conc in an effect compartment or
in plasma or in a tissue sample then that is the conc that defines the
EC50.
