Dear All,
I have a lead series that shows very high clearances without an
apparent hepatic metabolism explanation, nor blood or plasma stability
or the usual suspects. I would like to investigate pulmonary
clearance and would like to ask for what people consider the best way
to measure it, either in vivo or in vitro. Thanks in advance
Kevin

Dear Kevin,
If you consider your compound is highly eliminated by the lungs, you
can measure the concentrations of arterial and venous samples to tease
out the pulmonary clearance in vivo. Needless to say, you can also
do isolated perfusion of lungs, or lung tissue experiment in vitro.
With best regards,
Yan-Ling
