Hello All,
Does anyone have an idea as to what is the intravenous dose for
ritonavir in mice?
Since the drug is available orally and no parenteral preparations are
available (to my knowledge), for a pilot experiment, can anyone
suggest how to go around with that?
Any suggestion will be of great help!
Thanks a lot..

Dear "sunandshine",
This publication might be helpful "ABT-538 is a potent inhibitor
of ... PRC NATL ACAD SCI USA, VOL92, pp 2484-2488, March 1995
http://www.pnas.org/cgi/reprint/92/7/2484.pdf
ABT-358 is the codename for ritonavir by abott before it was called
ritonavir and was dosed 5 mg/kg in rats.
Sincerely,

Hi
You may want to take a look at Lledo-Garcia R, et al. Bioavailability
and pharmacokinetic model for ritonavir in the rat. J Pharm Sci. 2007
Mar;96(3):633-43. The authors describe compartmental and NCA for
ritonavir IV using a 3 mg/mL solution.

Thomas
