We are very pleased to annouce the release of WinPOPT Version 1.2.
This can be downloaded free of charge at www.winpopt.com. A new
revised manual has been produced as well.
This version runs on your currently existing MATLAB runtime
environment (which you have installed previously using MCRInstaller).
New features include the use of matrix exponentials to provide exact
closed form solutions for linear ODEs (including parent metabolite
models, multiple compartment models, transit compartment models etc).
This means more accurate and much much faster (100 fold plus faster
than ODE solving).
Existing features include the ability of the user to enter multiple
models for the circumstance in which uncertainty in the best model
exists. In addition, WinPOPT retains the ability to perform hypercube
integration across uncertainty in the parameter space. This is a
little like ED-optimality but much quicker.
In addition an updated graphic interface has been provided for user
defined models.
The following bugs have been fixed:
1) An error message occurred when design points have been entered that
are outside of the dose interval.
2) Sampling windows. WinPOPT failed to clear the current design from
its memory which interfered in the way in which sampling windows were
run. This caused an error message and the run to terminate.
3) The residual variability model has been changed to set the
correlation between the additive and proportional components to zero.
In previous versions this was set at a perfect positive correlation.
Later versions will allow the user to specify or estimate the
correlation.
Happy designing and hope you have an enjoyable festive season.
Regards
Steve

From the site:
http://www.winpopt.com/download.htm
1) The link to "UPGRADE (VER 1.2)" is just the new version without the
installer
2) The link to "FULL DOWNLOAD (VER 1.2)" contains the MCRInstaller
Use option 1 if you have downloaded and run a previous version of
winPOPT.
Use option 2 if you have not downloaded and run a previous version.
This version includes the full MATLAB runtime installer.

1) how long is the demo active
2) can anyone recommend a vendor neutral data set for validating
WinNonLin,
Kinematica, etc?
Thanks in advance

Not sure your points below relate to WinPOPT (1.2) as indicated in
your subject line. However, just in case:

1) WinPOPT is available freely as the full version and is active
indefinitely.
