Can anyone point me to a source of information on chemical kinetics in
birds, or baseline physiological data that would enable PBPK modelling
in birds?

Hi Kim,
Art Craigmill and his colleagues at UC Davis do PBPK modeling of
livestock,
apparently including birds:
Plasma pharmacokinetics of midazolam in chickens, turkeys, pheasants and
bobwhite quail

....
Kannan Krishnan at UdM also did some exposure modeling involving PBPK
models
of fowl a few years back. Results presented at 2001 SOT conference,
so you
may need to contact the author for more info:

PHYSIOLOGICALLY BASED PHARMACOKINETIC (PBPK) MODELING OF LEPTOPHOS IN
DOMESTIC FOWL.

Hope this helps!

Do a PubMed search using: "Filippich [au] Charles [au]". We have work
on PK of anthracyclines (and metabolites) and platinum compounds in
parrots.
