Dear all,
In oral excretion study i wanted to know whether unabsorbed drug,
which one can recover from feces should be considered as a excretory
amount.
i am little bit confused with contribution of biliary excretion and
unabsorbed drug while collecting feces and its data interpretation.
Regards,
Rahul Vats

Dear Rahul,
Amount recovered from feces is considered as excretory amount to know
the major route of excretion. To rule out involvement of biliary
excretion, one need to perform experiment by IV route. Appearance in
fecal matter suggests biliary excretion involvement in overall
excretion by fecal route.
