ANNOUNCEMENT
A new version of the MM-USCPACK software for Therapeutic
Drug Monitoring and Management and Dosage Individualization is now
available for demonstration purposes from our web site www.lapk.org.
It is also a new version for all those who will be participating in
our premeeting 1 - day workshop at the American College of Clinical
Pharmacology in San Antonio on September 12, and at the Postcongress 2
- day workshop at the International Association for Therapeutic Drug
Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology in Montreal on October 9 - 10.
This new version is the one that will be discussed at the workshops,
so all participants should download it into your laptops now, so you
have it for the workshops.
The new version has a feature to exclude selected serum concentration
data from the fitting procedure if desired. It also has a new Hybrid
Bayesian fitting procedure that combines features of both the MAP
Bayesian and the multiple model (MM) Bayesian methods. It takes a bit
longer, but it is designed to track an unusual patient who is outside
the stated ranges of the population parameters, and to provide support
points in that area. Because of this, it should provide more precise
parameter estimation, and safer management of individualized dosage
regimens for patients.
