Dear All: Do you have any thoughts on a good starting point for in vitro
release rate to target oral once-a-day delivery using an extended
release
dosage form. I realize that drug performance in vitro may not
correlate well
with in vivo performance, and to some extent, a longer half life might
compensate for a faster release. Does anybody have a feel for what
could a
reasonable target release rate (or even a range) at various time points,
e.g., 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 16 hours and 24 hours. Are
there
any papers that discuss this issue? With regards, Najib
