Hi all,
I'm currently using Winnonlin v 5.2, and have recently found that I'm unable to save so much as a blank worksheet without having to reboot. There were no problems with the software initially, but not being able to save is becoming increasingly frustrating, as my current methods of getting around this (exporting graphs to word and copy/paste spreadsheet results to excel) are time consuming and exasperating, particularly as I am trying to compare a large range of possible models. I've been told that this is a software issue, and not necessarily a problem with my computer, as it seems to have affected the entire division, and also that it's possibly a bug, in which case the apparent best method of solving it is to format the machine, install basic windows on it and then WinNonLin and see if it works. Then patch the machine and see if it still works and so on until we find out what causes the problem. I really do not want to have to format my computer... is there anyone who has experienced this pr

Dear Katya
just set your default printer to pdf and try again. Yes I think it is a software issue. Simon from Pharsight told me that. But it is unbelievable to pay xxx.xx Dollars for that program with that kind of ..... I think there is also another solution for that, please ask the pharsight people.

Dear Katya,
From your brief description this sounds like a commonly reported
issue, caused by newer printers confusing WNL there are several options
to address this as support.-a-.pharsight.com can give you;
1) a quick work around is to set your default printer to something
simple e.g. PDF or HP LJ4
2) they can also supply an updated ttf16.ocx that should solve the
problem, (Solution no. 128)
Please contact Support and they will give you the full details.
Best regards, Simon.

Hi Katya,
I had the same problem as you, but with Winnonlin v 4.1. I'll try to explain as clear as possible the way we fixed it.
It was a problem related to the file ttf16.ocx, located in the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32.
We had to replace the existing ttf16.ocx file with a new one our IT sent us. After that we had to issue two DOS commands.
I know this doesn't fix your problem, but maybe it helps you to understand how to do it!
