What different nanosizing methods were used. Is it possible to list them and what were the effects on activity of the drug. Different methods may have effect depending upon the limits of each method. For example, manual nanosizing has a certain limit and the material can be reduced into certian size.

Dear Dr. Ashraf.
Different methods for nanosizing reported in literature are bottom-up or top-down procedures, the former procedure being used more frequently. In bottom-up procedure, the particulates are produced by polymerisation of monomers (dispersion polymerisation) or by shaping or condensation of macromolecules (coacervation, spray-drying, solvent evaporation). The list of the methods in literature are:
Emulsion/dispersion polymerisation
Preparation from preformed polymers
Emulsification solvent evaporation
Coacervation (phase separation) method
Solvent deposition/displacement (nanoprecipitation)
Emulsification-cross-linking
Desolvation of macromolecules
Supercritical fluid technology
Wet-grinding (nanomilling)
The final properties of the particulate depend on the method, process and composition variables.
Thanks
