Obtaining paediatric PK data is challenging from a scientific, ethical and regulatory perspective. To address these issues I am leading an initiative with Dr Wouter Vaes of TNO Zeist, The Netherlands to examine the use of paediatric microdosing to obtain PK data. The bioanalytical technique to be used is Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS). We are looking for interested PK scientists in the pharmaceutical industry who might wish to participate in a pre-competitive collaborative programme to address these issues. Please contact me at garner.consulting.aaa.virgin.net if you have an interest and I can provide more details.
Thanks.
