To add to this topic we did a placebo controlled trial of enoxacin in
prostatic surgery some
time ago and measured prostatic enoxacin levels as "an extra"
We found one patient in the placebo group with enoxacin in the prostate
and one patient in the treatment group with no enoxacin in the prostate.
The point is that sometimes things go wrong. The treatment-group patient with
zero levels also developed an infection. He would have gone down
as a treatment failure but the zero levels probably explain why.
